My filmstrips turned out great! I initially did them larger than an actual filmstrip (so you could see the photos better!)
But liked them so much, that I went back to resize them as actual 35mm filmstrip sizes.
Then, of course, I wanted a few of the images (the really important ones!) to be larger 🙂
Once I was done making all the sizes, I still wasn’t entirely happy with them. It was one of those projects where you sit back and know something is missing, but aren’t sure exactly what it is. So, I went to find some of my old 35mm filmstrips (from like a decade ago!) and noticed they were all glossy (really glossy)….where mine were matte since I printed on regular cardstock. I then went back (and to the store) to get a glossy film to cover the strips. I also like the glossy cover because it prevents dirt and food to settle on the photos and ruin them (important if you are putting them on your fridge!)
Overall, I am very happy with these and plan on listing them in my Shaded Lines Etsy Shop. They will, of course, be custom orders….no one wants my wedding photos except me and my family 😉 But these could definitely be made into kids filmstrips, special occasions, family vacations, or any other event that you want to have a memento from!
